John B. Vande Berg, 87, of Sioux Center died Thursday, July 21, in Sioux Center.

Services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 23, in the Vander Ploeg Chapel in Sioux Center with the Rev. Dennis Wilcox officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Vande Berg was born April 12, 1901 in Sioux Center. He married Grace Willemsen, December 31, 1923, in Sioux Center. She died January 20, 1986. He was a cream hauler for the Sioux Center Creamery and later was involved in the cattle buying business.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Vande Berg of Boise, Idaho, and Don L. Vande Berg of Sioux Center; a sister, Mary Colenbrander of Sioux Center; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
