Minnie Ter Horst, age 93, of Orange City, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1993, at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City.

Minnie, who was named Willemina, was born Feb. 12, 1900, at Orange City, the daughter of Gerrit & Clara (De Vries) Ter Horst.

She was a lifetime resident of the Orange City area, moving into town about 1926.

She made her home with her parents and helped care for them.

About 1986 she became a resident of the Orange City Municipal Hospital, and in 1987 she transferred to the Heritage House.

She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City.

Survivors include a brother, John W. TerHorst of Bellflower, CA; and four sisters, Bertha Bruxvoort, Mrs. Henry (Leona) Heynen and Etta Vander Zwaag, all of Orange City, and Clareen Vanden Berg of Midland Park, NJ.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Bert TerHorst; and two sisters, Johanna Sandbulte and Arta Gesink.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. A nephew, Rev. Carl Bruxvoort, officiated. Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.
