Sioux County Capital, September 8, 1994

Wilmina J. Ter Horst, 73, of Orange City died Thursday, Sept. 1, 1994 at the Orange City Hospital.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 10:30 a.m., at the First Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Steven Vander Molen officiated. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City under direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home, Orange City.

Wilmina was born June 12, 1921, at Orange City, the daughter of John & Gertrude (Reekers) Ter Horst. She was raised at Orange City and lived on a farm south of town until 1944 when she moved into Orange City.

She was a clerk at the Village Drug Store in Orange City for many years.

Miss Ter Horst was a member of the First Reformed Church where she belonged to Reformed Church Womens Ministries and had been a member of the sanctuary choir.

Survivors include her sister, Marie Vander Maaten, Orange City; two nephews and three nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, John and Gerrit Ter Horst; and a nephew, Daryl Ter Horst.
