Carol G. Kleinwolterink.

Carol Kleinwolterink, 70, of Sheldon, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at theNorthwest Iowa Health Center in Sheldon. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Sheldon. Rev. David Brower officiated. Burial was at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home, Sheldon.

Carol Gertrude was born April 26, 1932, at Orange City, the daughter of Adrian and Gertrude (Peters) Vander Stoep. She received her education in Orange City and graduated from Orange City High School in 1950. Carol married Roger Kleinwolterink on May 23, 1952, at the American Reformed Church in Orange City.

They made their home on a farm near Sheldon. Carol had sold real estate for ARI Realty in Sheldon for 10 years, retiring in 1994. Mrs. Kleinwolterink was a member of the First Reformed Church of Sheldon. and the Sheldon Country Club, where she served on the board for three years. She enjoyed golfing and her yearly trips south to Kentucky to visit her daughters and their families. She was known by everyone as a wonderful cook. Carol and Roger were fortunate to have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 23, 2002.

Survivors include her husband, Roger; three daughters, Dianne and her husband Bill Moore of London, Ky., Janet Brink of Sheldon and Donna and her husband Brett McClellan of Lexington, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Angela, Amanda, Aubree, Jamee, Shantele, Lindsey and Jacob; two greatgrandchildren, Austin and Kiley; a brother, Don Vander Stoep and her wife Alyce of Orange City; a sister, Kay and her husband Dennis Hink of Valrico, Fla,; five nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
