AREA OBITUARIES - Sander Pott.
Sander Pott of Hospers died April 30 in Sheldon Community hospital. He was 89. Funeal services were in the Christian Reformed church of Hospers at l:30 p.m.. Friday, May 2. The Rev. G. Vanden Berg officiating. Pallbearers were William Hofmeyer, John Oldenkamp, Joe Boender, Frank De Jong, William Poppema, and Henry Prins. Mrs. Morris Scholten was organist with special music provided by John Waanders.

Mr. Pott was born March 11, 1880, in The Netherlands. He came to the States in 1900. On March 4, 1909, he married Jennie Wykstra in Hospers.

The couple have six children, Mrs. Ralph (Martha) Stuit of Hospers, Mrs. Gertie Kuperus of Hull, Peter of Sheldon, Mrs. John (Wilma) Modderman of Prinsburg, Minn., Mrs. Gerrit (Alice) Byker of Rock Rapids, and Mrs. Harold (Christine) Menning of Hospers. One daughter Wilhelmina died at the age of 4. Mrs. Pott in May of 1960. One sister also proceded Mr. Pott in death.
