BOYDEN, Iowa. Neal Salie, 85 of Boyden died suddenly Friday, January 11 in his daughter's home in Jefferson City, Mo. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 15 in the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Boyden. The Rev. Daniel Myers officiated. Burial was at the Boyden Cemetery.

Mr. Salie was born Aug. 27, 1899, in Boyden. He married Johanna Dykema July 17, 1923, in Canton, S.D. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Vellema and Mrs. June Leonard, both of Jefferson City; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Westra and one brother, Datus, both of Boyden; six grand children and four great-grandchildren.
