Johanna M. Salie, 85, of Boyden, died Wednesday, January 6, in Jefferson City, Missouri. Services were Monday at United Presbyterian Church in Boyden with the Rev. Robert Lueck officiating. Burial was in the Boyden cemetery.

Born Johanna Dykema on November 6, 1902, in Maurice, she married Neal Salie on July 17, 1923, in Canton, South Dakota. He died January 11, 1985. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Boyden.

Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor Vellema and June Leonard of Jefferson City; one sister, Hattie Dykema of George; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
