Theresia Mulder: October 16. 1922—March 23, 1996

Theresia Mulder, 73, of Orange City died Saturday, March 23, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. Funeral, services will be Wednesday, March 27, at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City, with the Rev. Paul E. Bakker officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Mrs. Mulder was born October 16, 1922, at Orange City, the daughter of Ben and Tillie (Hoekstra) Nibbelink. She was raised at Orange City, where she graduated from Northwestern Classical Academy in 1940 and from the Junior College in 1942. She then was a teacher in country schools around Orange City.

She married Dick B. Mulder at Orange City on August 5, 1947. They farmed in the Orange City area. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church, where she had taught catechism and Sunday school classes. She was also a member of the Senior Christian Fellowship, participated in Bible studies and was a Friendship Bible leader. She made several mission trips for work projects at Cary, Mississippi, and assisted in the relief effort after the Los Angeles earthquake.

Survivors include her husband; seven children, Brent and his wife Linda of Boyden, Mary and her husband Ken Leusink of Hull, Terry and his wife Linda of Orange City, Brian of Hawarden, Dixie and her husband Kevin Wielenga and Mark and his wife Patsy, all of Orange City, and Paul and his wife Lora Vis of Hull; a sister, Mrs. Andy (Wilmina) Van Dyk of Orange City; 30 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
