MRS. JOHN HOEKSTRA.
Mrs. John Hoekstra died early Tuesday morning in an Orange City hospital at the age of 75 years. Her death was caused by old age and complications.

She was the former Neeltje De Jong and was born in VrouwenParochie, The Netherlands on December 12, 1865. She was united in marriage to Melle Koopmans in The Netherlands and the following 3 children were born to this union: Renza, Alice, Mrs. Ed Vander Meulen and Tracy, Mrs. John Brouwer.

In 1903 she was united in marriage to John Hoekstra, and the following 2 children were born to them: Martha, Mrs. Bert Gesink and Cornie. In 1906 [*that happened in 1909!] they came to America to settle on a farm southwest of Orange City. Mr. and Mrs. Hoekstra moved to Orange City about 6 years ago.

Survivors include her husband 5 children: Renza [*Koopmans] in the Netherlands, Mrs. Ed Vander Meulen of Ocheyedan, Mrs. John Brouwer of Kenneth, Minn., Mrs. Bert Gesink of Denver, Colo, and Cornie [*Koopmans] of Middleburg; 3 step children, Tillie, Mrs. Ben Nibbelink of Orange City, Agnes, Mrs. Ike Klompenburg of Alton and Jacob Hoekstra of Orange City and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 in the First Christian Reformed church with Rev. Mr. Schuurman in charge at the house and Rev. Mr. R. L. Haan of Hull officiating at the church. Burial was made in the Orange City cemetery.
