Mrs. Arlene Gesink, age 73, of Orange City, passed away Tuesday, October 26, [*1999], at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Memorial service was held on Friday, October 29, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Jonathan Opgenorth officiated. Interment was at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City.

Arlene Rose was born April 13, 1926, in rural Orange City, the daughter of Gerrit and Mildred (Ruisch) Beltman. She was raised at Alton. On September 20, 1946, she married Engelbert G. "Bert" Gesink at Alton. They made their home in Orange City, where Arlene was a cook at the hospital for many years. Mr. Gesink passed away July 29, 1998, in Orange City. Mrs. Gesink was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church. She enjoyed camping.

Survivors include her daughter, Kary Gesink, of Orange City; a brother, Orville Beltman, of Orange City; and two sisters, Frances De Jong and Myrna Beltman, both of Alton.
