Thomas "Tom" Taylor, 55, died Saturday, April 22, in Sioux Falls of natural causes. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday at Canton United Methodist Church. Burial of his remains will be at a later date in Eden Cemetery, Hudson.

Taylor was born July 18, 1950, at Sioux Center to William and Vera (De Zeeuw) Taylor. He graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1968. He served in the Army National Guard in Le Mars for six years. He married Lyla Caswell October 6, 1972. He farmed for several years and later worked as a carpenter. He was currently working for Parker Contracting in Sioux Falls. He had been living with his daughter, Jennifer, for the last three years.

He is survived by his son, James (Tina) Taylor, Le Mars, IA; two daughters, Jaime (Kenny) Heath, Arvada, Colorado, and Jennifer Taylor, Sioux Falls; 10 grandchildren; and three brothers, Doug (Evonne) of Sioux Center, Ward (JoAnne) of Ireton and Wally of Sioux Center.
