Last rites for Marinus Boon were held Monday, January 29, at 1 p.m. at the home and 1:30 at the Christian Reformed church with Dr. H. Kuiper officiating. Burial was made in the Doon cemetery. Mr. Boon died Wednesday evening at the St. Joseph hospital in Sioux City, at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 2 days. He was born on July 22, 1887 in the Netherland and came to America at the age of 24. In 1920 he was united in marriage to Hendrika Van Bemmel. To this union 15 children were born, of whom two died in infancy and one son, Martin, at the age of 10. Mr. Boon leaves to mourn his death, his wife, and 12 children: Mrs. Herman Steensma, Andrew, Mrs. Gerrit Nibbelink, Ben, Mrs. Gerald Van Engen, Grace, Martha, Elmer, Marvin, John, Hilda and Joan, at home; one brother, Ben, who lives in the Netherlands. Three sisters preceded him
in death. Pallbearers were Peter Hoekstra, Wm. Peterson, Albert Van Bemmel, Abe Haak, Wm. Bouwman and John Van Bemmel.
