Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the First Christian Reformed church for Nic Huisman of Orange City, who passed away in the local hospital after a long illness Friday morning.

Mr. Huisman was born at Orange City on April 8, 1894 and lived here all of his life. He was married in 1917 to Minnie Huitink. They were the parents of six children, one of whom passed away while an infant.

Surviving are his widow and three daughters: Hilda (Mrs. Harvey Vander Meide); Durella (Mrs. Joe R. Kleinhesselink); Marie (Mrs. John Bergsma), and two sons, Henry also of Orange City and Alvin of Chicago, III. There are 19 grandchildren. Rev. B. Vanden Brink and Seminarian John De Pater officiated at the funeral services. Burial was in ithe local cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.
