Mrs. (Dora) Nick Veldhoen, 62, a resident of Hawarden 43 years, died early Sunday morning at the Hawarden hospital following n lingering illness.

Funeral services were held at 12 noon Tuesday at the Barman Funeral home and at the Netherlands Reformed church in Sioux Center at 2 o'clock, Rev. Van Gunst of Corsica, S. P., officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery in Hawarden. Pall bearers were six nephews Peter, Lestcr and Glenn Van Muyden, Gordon and Marl in Van Wyhe and Glenn Brinkhuis.

She was born July 2, 1893, in The Netherlands. She came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van Muyden, a the age of 9, locating at Sioux Center. She lived in Sioux Center 10 years and then came to Hawarden where she lived continuously since that time.

She was married to Nick Veldhoen of Sioux Center August 11,1932. She was a member of the Netherlands Reformed church of Sioux Center.

Besides the widower, she is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Marie French of Hawarden, Mrs. Martin Vander Sluis of Westchester, IL., Mrs. Susan Okkema of Cicero, IL., and Mrs. Lambert Van Wyhe of Sioux Center; one brother, Leonard Van Muyden of Hawarden and a number of nieces and nephews
