Dwayne F. Vande Stouwe
Dwayne F. Vande Stouwe, 71, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Hull and Sioux City, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 27. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge with the Rev. David Feltman and Marcia Rich, CLP officiating.

Vande Stouwe was born September 17, 1932, in Hull. He attended schools there, graduating from Hull High School. In 1949, he attended Fort Collins University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He later received his undergraduate degree and master's degree from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, He worked with his brothers in the operation of Vande Stouwe Brothers Construction for several years.

He married Fayma Koontz in Webster City on July 5, 1953. He entered the U. S. Army in 1954 and served in Korea until 1956. He later worked with Iowa Beef in Sioux City and in Fort Dodge, In 1980 he established Vande Stouwe Construction, which he owned and operated until the time of his death.

He loved his family and friends and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1856,

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scott and Todd both of Fort Dodge; two daughters and their husbands, Colette and Russ Clark of Fort Dodge and Karine and Steve Robinson of Dallas, Texas; a grandson; his mother, Fay Kooistra of Hull; four brothers, Harry and Esther of Hull, Ned and Jane of Grinnell, Wally and Cindy of Sioux Falls and Wendell Kooistra of Grinnell; and two sisters, Nancy Lammers of Sioux Center and Marilyn Paulson of Fountain Hills, Arizona.

Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church of Hospice of Fort Dodge.

(His mother was Faye Thompson VandeStouwe, later she married Martin Kooistra)
