Obituary Of The Late Mrs. Rowena Vander Meer
Mrs. Rowena Vander Meer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hendrikus Kosters was born August 1, 1871. in Paterson, New Jersey, and passed away February 27, 1950, at Hull, at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 26 days.

On February 20, l890, she was united in marriage to Mr. Ralph Vander Meer at Orange City. Iowa. They lived on the farm until 1918 when they moved to Hull. -Mr. Vander Meer preceded her in death six years ago.

Eight children were horn to this union. They are Charles of Sheldon: Dick of Hull William of Cherokee, A__ of Hull, John of St. Peter, Mrs. Steve Van Otterloo of Rock Valley; Henry, who passed away in 1913; and Roy who died in 1926. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 2, 1950 at 1:00 at the home and 1:30 at the First Reformed church. Rev. Wm. C. De Jong officiated. Pall Bearers were John DeKoster, Dick DeKoster, John Zoet, Ralph Bos, David Dykstra, and C. C. Sawyer. Burial was made at Hope cemetery Hull.
