R. Vande Meer Aged 77 Buried Monday.
Passed away at this home here on Thursday; was a long time resident of community.
Mr. R. (Roelof) Vande Meer passed away at this home here in Hull last Thursday afternoon at the age of seventy seven years. He was born Workum Friesland, Netherlands Sept 26, 1856 and at the age of eighteen, with a sister came to America.

He came to Sioux County and on Feb. 20, 1890 he was untied in marriage to Miss Rowena Kosters of Sioux Center who survives. They moved to a farm in the spring of 1890, living in Sioux County. Later moving to Springfield SD and this returning to this county. They raised their family to manhood and woman hood on the farm and about twenty years ago the y moved to Hull where they have resided since. Mr. Vander Meer was a very pleasant and amiable man and will be missed by all who knew him. He had been confined to his home for several months before his passing.

Funeral services were held in the First Reformed church on Monday afternoon and burial was made in Hope cemetery.
