Funeral Rites
Held Saturday
for Geo. White
Passed Away at Home of
Brother, John White

George White, a lifelong resident
of Plymouth and Sioux Counties,
passed away last Wednesday evening
at the home of his brother, John
White. George White had been in
failing health for some time. He
went to Tyler, Minn., and was taken
ill there the first of March, returning
to Hawarden April 12, and since that
time has been failing steadily.

George White was born at White
Oak Springs, Wis., 59 years ago,
and came to Plymouth county with
his parents, later moving with them
to a farm near Ireton. He had never
married, and had made his home
with his father, Thomas White at
Ireton, until several years ago, and
since that time has made his home
with other relatives.

He is survived by the following
brothers and sisters: Mrs. C. F.
Coon of Le Mars; Mrs. Joe Spires
of Fresno, Calif.; Mrs. C. L. Smith
and Mrs. Ralph Hoiling of
Burnstad, No. Dak.; Alvin and
Garfield White of Ireton; and John
White of this city (Hawarden, Iowa).
Relatives and friends from out of
town who attended the funeral were:
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dunn and Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Dunn of Marcus;
Mr. and Mrs. John Smith of
Primghar; Mr. and Mrs. Homer
Ritchey of Merrill; Mr. and Mrs.
George Hamersma and family, and
Mrs. O. W. Harvey and sons of
Alcester, Mr. and Mrs. Will White,
W. T. McPherson and Mr. and Mrs.
John White and family of Hawarden.

Funeral services were held at the
Methodist church at Irelon at 2:15
Saturday aflcrnooon, with Rev.
Thompkins in charge. Interment
was made in the Ireton cemetery.
