Frederick B. Bynes, 77, a six year resident of Redlands, California, died at his home of cancer on July 5, 1989. He was a native of Hospers, Iowa, was in business in Orange City, Iowa from 1945 to 1960 and was in the men's clothing business in Rochester, Minnesota, from 1960 to 1980. He served in the 14th Armored division in Europe during World War II and was National Secretary of the 14th Armored Division Association from 1980 to 1988. He was a member of Bethany Reformed Church in Redlands. He is survived by his wife Hazel; daughter Mary and son-in-law Alexander Chorewycz and grandsons Paul and Alexander Chorewycz of Eagan, Minnesota; daughter Juliana and son-in-law Bernard Simmons and grandson Colin Simmons of Evanston, Illinois; sisters Janette Verdoorn and Nellie Fuchs of Long Beach, California, and Viola Blemaster of Moville, Iowa. Burial was July 22 in Hospers, Iowa.
