Maude Brink, age 91, of Sacramento, Calif., died Friday, Jan. 18, 1991 at the Bruceville Terrance Convalescent Hospital in Sacramento.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 10:30 a.m., at the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City. Pastor Jack Gray of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Visitation with the family will be the hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Maude was born Dec. 12, 1899, at Rock Valley, the daughter of pioneer farmers, John & Elizabeth (Ver Duin) Schaap.

On Feb. 28, 1919, she married Eben Brink at Orange City. They made their home at Orange City where they farmed between Orange City and Sioux Center for several years, They later lived in Sioux City. In 1948 they moved to Hayward, Calif. Mr. Brink died in October of 1954 at Hayward.

Mrs. Brink was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hayward and had been a charter member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City.

Survivors include her son, Donald and his wife Lorraine of Sacramento; three grandchildren, Donald Eben, Jr., Tameron Mitchell and John Lindsey; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Johanna Vander Stoep of Orange City and Jennie Te Velde of Lynden, Wash.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, John and Harold; and seven brothers and sisters, Annie Van Otterloo, Dena Ver Burg, Dick Schaap, Peter Schaap and Johnny, Dena and Peter, as children.
