Sibley_ James Buysman, 84, died on May 21, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 24, at the First Reformed Church in Sibley, with Rev. John Van Mantgem officiating. Burial was in Holman Township Cemetery, under the direction of Walton Funeral Home.

Mr. Buysman was born on February 16, 1896, in Hospers. He grew up in O'Brien County, and on February 19, 1919, was married to Flora Elgersma. He retired in 1966 and moved to Sibley.

Survivors include two sons, Harold of Ashton, and Norman of Sioux Falls; three daughters, Helen (Mrs. George) Van Engen and Evelyn (Mrs. Lloyd) Runis, both of Sibley, and Joyce (Mrs. Garrett) Meyer of Reading, Minn. 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Louis of Sibley; and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Groot of Slayton, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife, five brothers, one sister, two half-brothers and one half-sister.
