Harry Vander Schaaf, 86, of Hull died Thursday in the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services were held Monday in the American Reformed Church at Hull. The Rev. Herman Van Galen officiated. Burial was at Hope Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday at Kraai Funeral Home of Hull.

Mr. Vander Schaaf was born June 26, 1896, in Doon. He married Tracy Van't Hul, Feb. 28, 1919, in Hull.

He was a carpenter and a veteran of World War I. He was a member of American Legion Post 380 and a charter member of the American Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Gerrit (Esther) Prange of Spencer; Mrs. Marjorie Czekalski of Hull; Mrs. Calvin (Mildred) Walsten of Oceanside, Calif, and Mrs. Thomas (Genevieve) Griffin of Kalmath Falls, Ore., three sons, Robert of Minneapolis; Harlan of St. Louis, and Dennis of Belem, Brazil; one brother, Dewey of Sheboygan, Wisc., one sister, Mrs. Fred (Annette) Lutjens of Sioux City, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
