Dies As Result Of Injuries In Auto Accident

Mrs. William Van Surksum who was critically injured in an automobile accident north of LeMars, passed away at the Le Mars hospital on Sunday.

P. A Leistra, of Oskaloosa and Milo Price of Le Mars the others in the accident, are still in serious condition in the hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Van Surksum were scheduled for this Wednesday, at the house at 1 p. m. and at the Christian Reformed Church in Hull at 1:30. They will be conducted by Rev. Van Deelen pastor of the church, and former Rock Valley minister.

Deceased was born on a farm near Rock Valley and lived there until she was ten years old. Since that time she has lived on a farm near Hull. She was born May 3, 1921, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Evers of Hull and named Grace.

Survivors are her husband, the parents and one twin sister, Mrs. Herman Dykstra of Rock Valley, and her two children: Gloria Janice, 1 year old, and Judith Elaine, 4 years old.

Mrs. William Van Surksum of Hull died at the LeMars hospital Sunday evening. She did not regain consciousness since November 17, when she was in a car accident.

Mrs. Wm. Van Surksum, nee Grace Evers, was born at Rock Valley on April 23, 1941; she was married to Wm. Van Surksum. To this union were born two children, Gloria Janice, seven years, and Judith Elaine, five years.

She is survived by her husband; and two daughters; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Evers and her twin sister Jennie, Mrs. Herman Dykstra of Rock Valley. She was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, one o’clock at the home and one-thirty at the local Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Van Deelen will be in charge of the services.
