We had just gone to press last week when word was brought to the Index office that Herman Breuer had died. The following handed in by a dear friend of the deceased gives the particulars:

In Memorium Our beloved brother in Christ, Karl Herman Breuer, son of Johaan August Breuer and wife, was born on the 25th day of January, 1879, in Sheridan township, Sioux County, Iowa. He was baptized by Rev. Bernhard Marr, in the Evangelical Lutheran church, on the 23rd day of February 1879 with Henry Mahler, Herman Schuett and Louise Schuett as sponsors. He grew to manhood in this county and was confirmed in the same church in which he had been baptized, by Rev. W. Baetke, the 26th day of March, (says 1803). Three years ago he was united in marriage with Miss Margaritha Schuett.

NOTE: Copy is dark there may be another name after Karl Herman. The date of his confirmation may be 1903.
