Mr. & Mrs. J. C. Boote were called upon this week to mourn the death of their baby boy, Clarence Herman, whose death occurred Monday. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. R. Hyatt, pastor of the Congregational church, and the little form was taken to Rock Valley and tenderly laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.

Clarence Herman Boote was born at Rock Valley, Sept. 30, 1917, and was just a little past two years of age at the time of his death. The family moved to Hawarden last March. About a year ago the child underwent an operation and apparently made a splendid recovery but about two months ago the old trouble recurred and his condition has since been regarded as critical. Mr. & Mrs. Boote have the sincere sympathy of the community in their sad loss.
