Sheldon - Funeral services for Louis S. Bylsma, 79, were held Nov. 16, 1985 at 10:30 a.m. in the United Methodist Church, Sheldon. The Rev. Rick Dee officiated with burial in the Larchwood Cemetery, Larchwood.

Mr. Bylsma passed away Nov. 12. The Andringa Funeral Home, Sheldon, was in charge of the arrangements.

The son of Sammuel & Tillie Bylsma, he was born Nov. 22, 1905 in Sioux County. He graduated from Sheldon High School. He married Irene Parks, Feb. 26, 1937 at Rock Rapids and was employed by Brinkman-Schortinghuis Produce and The United States Government as an egg inspector. He retired in 1967.

He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He also served many years on the board of the Sheldon Historical Society and the Sheldon Prairie Museum.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, Sheldon; and one sister, Martene Haze, La Gunna Hills, CA.
