Died From Pneumonia.

W. W. Johnson, one of the well known teachers of Sioux died Sunday morning at the home
Russell Metcalf in Eagle township from pneumonia. The deceased took a severe cold about
ten days before his death, from which he partially recovered and then then took a relapse which culminated in a fatal attack of pneumonia.

The remains were interred in the Ireton cemetery Tuesday. He had been a teacher in
the Sioux county schools for a number of years and was universal respected by those who knew him.

(William W. Johnson 1855-1904 buried Pleasant Hill Cemetery Ireton IA. In the 1900 census he was living in Eagle Tsp. Sioux County born Sep 1855 Ireland, single, living with the Wm. Metcalf family as a boarder. A report on Ancestry.com lists William Ward Johnson born Sep 1855 Ireland died 8 May 1904 son of Samuel Johnson 1812-1883 and Mary Anne Richards 1826-1908.)
