Died From Pneumonia.

W. W. Johnson, one of the well known teachers of Sioux died Sunday morning at the home
Russell Metcalf in Eagle township from pneumonia. The deceased took a severe cold about
ten days before his death, from which he partially recovered and then then took a relapse which culminated in a fatal attack of pneumonia.

The remains were interred in the Ireton cemetery Tuesday. He had been a teacher in
the Sioux county schools for a number of years and was universal respected by those who knew him.

Metcalf family as a boarder. A report on Ancestry.com lists William Ward Johnson born Sep 1855 Ireland died 8 May 1904 son of Samuel Johnson 1812-1883 and Mary Anne Richards 1826-1908.)
