Mr. William Van Surksum passed away early Monday at the Grossman Hospital, Orange City, Iowa, at the age of 74 Years, 10 months, 25 days. Mr. Van Surksum was born near Orange City and in 1900 he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Bloemendaal who preceded him in death.

Mr. Van Surksum is now survived by the following three children; Gerrit, Sheldon, Iowa; Johanna, Mrs., Theo Rutgers, Seattle, Washington; and Gertrude, Mrs. Bert De Jong, Hospers, Iowa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; Gerrit, Rock Valley, Iowa; Henry, Leota, Minn; Cornie, Alton, Iowa; Edward, Hospers, Iowa; Henrietta, Mrs. Sam Klien, Hospers, Iowa; Hattie, Mrs. John Bothoff, Chandler, Minn.; Grace, Mrs. Henry Bloemendaal, Orange City, Iowa; And Coba, Mrs. J. Kort, Edgerton, Minn. One brother and three sisters also preceded him in death.
