Mrs. Johanna G. Bomgaars, 91, of Orange City, died Saturday morning at the Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley.

Services were held Tuesday, at 10 a.m., in the First Reformed Church in Orange City. Rev. Cecil Martens and Rev. Frank Snuttjer officiated. Burial was in Middleburg Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home, Orange City.

She was born on August 5, 1894, on a farm near Orange City, the daughter of John & Sophia (Vander Wilt) Vander Wilt. She married Frank Bomgaars on Jan. 13, 1915. The couple farmed in Sioux County, Mr. Bomgaars died Sept. 29, 1947. She then moved to Orange City and spent the last eight years at the Valley Manor Nursing Home at Rock Valley.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church and the Women's Guild.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Sal) Vander Zwaag of Orange City; Mrs. Clifford (Sophia) Top of Alton, and Mrs. James (Arlene) Cleveringa of Sheldon; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, a 2 1/2 year old daughter, Sernelia; three sisters and two brothers.
