Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the First Reformed Church of Orange City for Arie J. Bomgaars, who died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, March 18, from a blood-clot.

Rev. Henry Colenbrander officiated at the services at church and at Middleburg cemetery where interment was made. The Van Etten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bomgaars was born at Middleburg, July 27, 1897, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joe Bomgaars.

He was married to Jennie Vander Wilt, February 12, 1919. They were the parents of three children: Margene (Mrs. Severt Van Bergel) of Sioux Center; Bernard Bomgaars of Boyden and Arlys at home.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, and one brother, John.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers Marinus and Gerrit.
