Muilenburg, Trijntje 'Kate' (Mrs. John A.) 1819-1907

Mrs. J. A. Muilenburg was brought here for burial Thursday. Deceased and her husband formerly lived in Alton up to five years ago when they went to near Wilmont Minnesota to live with John Prosser and wife—the latter being their daughter. Mr. Muilenburg was brought here three years ago in June for burial. Mrs. Muilenburg died of old age being past eightysix years.

Deceased was born in the Netherlands and came to America in young womanhood settling at Pella. They came to Sioux county twenty two years ago. Deceased leaves four daughters and one son. The daughters are Mrs. John Dingeman of Gothenburg Nebraska, Mrs. John Prosser of Wilmont Minnesota, Mrs, Henry Muilenburg of Glenham South Dakota, Mrs. Dan Van Horssen of Wilmont, The son's address is unknown being last heard from at Omaha a number of years ago. Services were conducted at the Dutch Reformed church.

(This was Tryntje ‘Kate’ Sietses Tamminga Veldema born about 1830, she was first married to Hans Veldema. He died before she married John Muilenburg in 1864 at Pella IA. She had six Veldema children Beitske 1845, Mary 1847, Francis 1849, Hester 1854, Ellen 1856, and Emeline 1858. John and she had a son Martin born 1868, he died 1938. Her son Francis Veldema must be the one they had on address on at her death.
