John A. Muilenburg died Tuesday evening at the ripe old age of eighty
years at the home of his daughter Mrs. John Prosser at Wilmont
Minnesota after a two week's illness of inflammation of the bowels.

Deceased was born in the Netherlands in 1824 and came to America when
quite young and spent the greater part of his life around Pella,
Sheldon and Alton vicinity. He leaves an aged wife and two sons and
four daughters to mourn the loss of a kind husband and dutiful
father. The remains were brought here Thursday from Wilmont and the
funeral services held at the home of his daughter Mrs. Neil
Druger—Rev. Brink of Orange City conducting the services and
interment taking place in the Holland cemetery.

The following relatives from out of town were here - Henry Muilenburg
and family and Martin
Muilenburg of Sheldon, Peter and Dan Van Horssen of Worthington
Minnesota and John Prosser of Wilmont Minnesota.

(According to an ancestry.com report He was the son of Cornelis
Muilenburg and Hendrika Willemstein. the 1900 census of Nassau tsp
Sioux County list him as born Jul 1824, came to USA in 1854 married
1864 to Tryntje Siedses Tamminga (Veldema) She had six Veldema
children listed in the 1860 census with her husband Hans Veldema.
Tyrntje was born 1820, she had Beitske 1845, Mary 1847, Francis 1849,
Hester 1854, Wllen 1856 and Emeline 1858. Then John and Tryntje 'Kate'
had a son Marten born 1868 died 1938. So most of these children were
step children of John. She died 1907.)
