Mrs. Mary E. Boggess passed away in a Sioux City hospital last Thursday Nov. 2nd, after a long illness of the age of 66 years. Death was due to a complication of diseases.

The deceased was born in Danville, Ill, Feb. 10, 1856. She continued to live there until she was 21 years old, and then came to Iowa, settling near Rock Valley. For a number of years she lived in Hawarden. For the past two years Mrs. Boggess has made her home with her son, Bernard Boggess of this city.

She is survived by five sons, Oliver Boggess of Beresford, S.D.; A. G. Boggess of Decatur, Iowa; Archie Boggess of Bruce, Wis.; Ernest and Bernard Boggess of Sioux City, and one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Navin of Sioux City.

Funeral services were held in Sioux City Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was made in Graceland Park Cemetery.
