Renza J. Dykstra, 77, of Sioux Center died suddenly Wednesday at him home in Sioux Center. Services were at 10: a.m. Saturday in the First Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. John Hellinga officiated. Burial was in the Holman Cemetery at Sibley under direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.
Mrs. Dykstra was born Jan. 19 1905 at Sheldon. He married Marie Verbrugge Nov. 30, 1945, at Sibley. They farmed in the Sibley area until 1965 when they moved to Sioux Center where he worked in public relations at Dordt College. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed church, the National Society of Christian Political Action and the Christian Farmers Association. He was a past president of the Sibley Farm Bureau and the Dorst College Board. He was a past board member of the Sibley Community Hospital and the Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ted (Lorraine) Slagter of Prinsburg, Minn. And Mrs. Duane (Evelyn) Elgersma of Sioux Falls, SD; one brother Clarence of Sibley; one sister, Mrs. Gerrit (Helen Greenfield of Sibley; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
