MRS. JACOB VAN HOUTE
Funeral services were held al the First Reformed Church of Boyden at 1:30 p.m. October 23 for Mrs. Jacob Van Houte, 83, of Boyden, who died al the Sheldon nursing home October 20. Services were conducted by the Rev. Sylvester Moths and burial was in the Boyden cemetery.

Mrs. Van Houte, the former Jennie Compaan, was born June 11, 1890, in Westfield, N.D. She was married February 8, 1908, at Westfield. Mr. Van Houte died in 1949 at Boyden.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Marie) Deal of Isle, Minn., and Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Vos of Rock Rapids: a son, Ted, of Sioux Falls; a sister, Mrs. Ed Van Seek of Linton, N.D.; 12 grandchildren
and 22 great grandchildren
