MISS WILHELMINA VAN HOUTE
Boyden, Iowa. — Miss Wilhelmina Van Houte. 58, died in her home at Boyden. la. at 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning of carcinoma. Miss Van Houte was born in Almelo. Netherlands, but had resided in America 55 years. She came to America with her parents, three brothers, and two sisters settling at Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Rev. Jacob and Johanna Mane Van Houte. After graduating from the Hope College Academy she taught school for ten years. She had worked as clerk in both the bank and the creamery. The past thirty six years she had resided in Boyden, Ia. Miss Van Houte was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary

Those of whom preceded her in death were her father who died Oct 19. 1919. one sister, Theodora. March 1898. one brother William. May 21, 1906. and a baby sister Elizabeth in infancy.

Surviving are her mother, five brothers - Gerrit of Newberry. Calif. Jacob Jr. of Boyden, John of Chariton, Wyo, Marinus of Santa Rosa. Calif. Henry of Boyden and two sister Jennette of San Marino, Calif, and Mrs Henry Rensnik of Boyden.

Funeral services were held Tuesday. June 6, at 7:00 p.m. from the residence and at 1:30 p.m. from the First, Ref. Church. The Reverend Mr. J.W. Brink officiated, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Brower of Orange City. Ia. Bearers were R. Kamminsa. John Rensmk, Sr.. Henry Bosnian, Joe Kreykes. Will Wargowsky. and Paul McCrum. Burial was in the Boyden cemetery.
