BASTIEN VAN IPEREN

Funeral services were held Monday, October 14, at 2 p.m. in the Hospers High School auditorium for Bastien Van Iperen, who passed away Friday, October 11, at his home in Hospers. George Waters, minister, officiated at the services. Burial was made at East Lawn cemetery, Hospers, under the direction of Vander Ploeg ‘s Funeral Home.

Pall bearers were Don Watson, John Nyhoff, John Schuller, Wm. Dorenbos, Walter Dolphin, Wm. Verburg.

Mr. Van Iperen was born March 25, 1892, near Hospers. On October G, 1916, he was united in marriage to Tracy Hulst. He lived on a farm south of Hospers until about a year ago when he moved to their present home in Hospers.

Surviving, besides his widow, are the following children: Nick of Luverne, Minn.; Nellie, Mrs. Vernon Snow, of Libby, Mont.; Elsie, Mrs. Randolph Hippe, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Joan, Mrs. Henry Weber, of Hartford, Wisc.; and John of Alton. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Bynes, of Orange City.
