Randal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Tilstra, was born June 27, 1960 at Hudson, South Dakota. He moved to rural Sioux Center, Iowa in his youth and attended Lebanon Christian Grade School and West Sioux High School. He was united in marriage to Sheila Ann Kosters, July 30,1982 in Sioux Center, Iowa. He farmed west of Sioux Center, Iowa and worked for Sioux Preme Packing of Sioux Center, Iowa.

He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Iowa and was very active in all outdoor and recreational sports in the Sioux Center area. He passed away on Saturday, December 14,1985 at a Seattle, Washington hospital after a long illness, at the age of twenty-five years, five months and seventeen days.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Tilstra of Sioux Center, Iowa; a grandparent, Mrs. Lena De Roon of Rock Valley, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Brian (Pam) De Jong of Hull, Iowa; a niece, Julie De Jong and two nephews, David and Daniel De Jong.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Terry Wade Tilstra.
