Bertha Vander Veen,
Sioux Center Iowa Bertha Vander Veen 86 of Sioux Center died Saturday in a hospital in Sioux Center.

Services were held Monday in the First Reformed church in Sioux Center with Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt and the Rev. Delmar Int Veld officiated. Burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of VanderPloeg Funeral home of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Vander Veen, the former Bertha Int Veld was born Nov 14, 1899 in the Netherlands. She came to the United States in 1911 and lived in Sioux Center Most of her life. She married Ben Vander Veen Dec. 29, 1926, at Sioux Center. He died April 2, 1974.

Mrs. Vander Veen was member of Frist Reformed church and dorcas Circle of the church.

Survivors include a brother, Marinus of Rock Valley, and a sister, Mrs. Neal G. Pauline Punt of Sioux Center.
