Henrietta Vander Zwaag
Henrietta Vander Zwaag, 87, of Hull died Thursday, July 8, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 12, at First Reformed Church In Hull with the Rev. David Ter Beest officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City.
The former Henrietta Huygens was born January 16, 1906, at Newkirk, the daughter of Albertus and Gertrude (Den Hartog) Huygens. She was raised In the New kirk/Hospers area. She married William Vander Zwaag January 26, 1927, at Hospers. They farmed at Orange City until 1952, then moved to Hull. He died July 23. 1953, at Hull. She moved into Hull In 1963, where she lived until entering Valley Manor in the fall of 1989. She transferred to Pleasant Acres in March 1990.
She was a member of First Reformed Church and the Reformed Church Women's Ministries. Survivors include her three sons and their wives, Henry and Harriet of Sioux Center, Glen and Gail and Claude and Betty, all of Hull; a daughter and her husband, Judy and Cliff Van Schepen of Hull; a brother. Ivan De Graaf of Edmonds. Washington; 11 grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren
