Jake Van Der Zwaag
Jake Anthony Van Der Zwaag, 55, of Hull died Friday, January 28, at Sioux Center Community Hospital. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Reformed Church in Hull with the Rev. Carl Klompien officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.

Van Der Zwaag was born January 18, 1945, at Hull, the son of Clarence and Ida (Jans) Van Der Zwaag. He spent his entire life on the same farm east of Hull. He married Verna Jean Van Engen on August 19, 1964, at Sheldon. She died August 17, 1978, at Hull. He married Sandra Sandy" Kay Foote at Sibley on October 26, 1979. He farmed and operated Van Der Zwaag Trucking with liis brother. In liis earlier years, he also operated a feed grinder.

He was a member of First Christian Reformed Church. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, reading newspapers and going camping.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Kenneth and Rhonda Van Der Zwaag and Jay and Kara Foote, all of Hull; two daughters, Darcy and her husband Kelly Techen of Hull and Amy Van Der Zwaag, at home, and her special friend, Kevin Oolman of Orange City; four grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Gerrit and Marylin Van Der Zwaag of Hull; and a sister and her husband, Clara Ann and Bernard Schiebout of Orange City. He was preceded in death by his Parents.
