HENRY VANDER ZWAAG
Sioux Center News of Sep 11, 1958 Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the First Reformed church of Orange City for Henry Vander Zwaag, 63, long time resident of Orange City, who passed away Saturday morning at I the St. Joseph Hospital in Sioux City. He had been a patient there for the past four months. Rev. Henry Colenbrander officiated and burial was made in the Orange City cemetery under the direction of Van Etten Funeral Service. Nephews were casket bearers.Mr. Vander Zwaag was born December 6, 1894 on a farm near Orange City. He lived there with his parents until the death of his father, when he and his mother moved to Orange City. He was employed a Cambiers’ Garage for 35 years giving up his work there a year ago because of poor health.
Surviving are four brothers and one sister: Peter, Ben, Bert, and Jake Vander Zwaag all of Orange City and Gertrude Mrs. Hessel Dykstra of Sheldon.
His parents, on brother, William and one sister, Effie Mrs. Henry Veld preceded him in death.
