Funeral services for Mr.
Jake H. Vander Zwaag, 76, were held Monday, January 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church with the Rev. R. Van Heukelom officiating. Burial was made at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Henry B. Vander Zwaag, Henry P. Vander Zwaag, Ed Veld, Henry G. Vander Zwaag, Jerry Dykstra and Gerrit A. Doornink.

Mr. Vander Zwaag passed away Thursday, January 16 at his farm after suffering a heart attack. He was born Nov. 6, 1892 and farmed five miles north of Orange City for many years. He had never been married. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Peter, Benjamin, Bert, William and Henry; and one sister: Mrs. Henry Veld.

Surviving are one sister; Mrs. Hessel Dykstra of Sheldon and many nieces and nephews.
