JOHN MEENDERING, 67
Funeral services for John Meendering, who died at the hospital here Sunday, Dec. 20, will be held Monday, Dec. 23, at 1 p. m. at the Vander Ploeg Funeral home and at 1:30 at the First Reformed church, with Rev. P. De Jong officiating.

John Meendering was born in The Netherlands and came to America at the age of 25. He was married Dec. 2, 1916, to Jennie Smits and they spent their first 16 years in this country on a farm near Springfield, S. D., later moving to Sioux county.

Five children were born to the couple, all of whom survive. They are Hattie, at home; Sadie, Mrs. Louis Cleveringa; Gertrude, Mrs. Harry Kuhl, and Albert and John, Jr., who returned home from Korea Wednesday. Also surviving are five sisters, three of whom live in America, Msr. John Klyer, Mrs. Henry Vander Streek and Mrs. Henry Vander Wolde, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Albert and Gerrit. Burial will
be at the Sioux Center Community cemetery.
