April 19, 1911—August 29, 1994
Hermina Otten. 83, died Monday, August 29, at the Northridge Care Center in New Hope, Minnesota. Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 1, at Princeton Evangelical Free Church, Princeton, Minnesota, with the Rev. Thomas Sahlstrom officiating. Burial was In
the Christian Reformed Cemetery at Pease, Minnesota.Hermina Kramer was born April 19, 1911, in Orange City, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kramer. She was raised In Orange City and baptized and confirmed at the Christian
Reformed Church. She moved to Pease in 1930 and worked as a housekeeper. She married George Otten on October 30, 1931. In Pease. The couple farmed In the Pease and Foreston areas. They bought a gas station in Pease in 1951 and operated it until buying the bakery In Milaca. They later purchased and operated the Sinclair Gas Station in Princeton. He died In 1970. She also worked at the Elim Home in Princeton and other nursing homes until retiring In 1980. She had been a resident at the Northridge Care Center In New Hope since 1988.She was a member of the Princeton Evangelical Free Church and at one time was very active with the Princeton Senior Citizens. She will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors Include her children, Jerry and his wife Elaine of New Hope, Luevonna Anderson of Jacksonville, Florida, Darlene Otten of Crystal, Marian and her husband Larry Bistodeau of Eden Prairie, Betty and her husband Robert Woodworth of Olympia, Washington, Ronald and his wife Anita of Eden Prairie, Gloria and her husband Frank Thomas of Discovery Bay, California; one brother, Henry Kramer of Sioux Center; four sisters, Mrs. Jake (Jessie) Vande Griend of Orange Cityy, Mrs. Ralph R.(Jennle) Vande Berg of Orange City, Mrs. Nick (Dorothy) Draayer) of Orange City and Mrs. William (Mildred) Van't Hul of Alton; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother Steve Kramer.
