Fred Grond
Fred Grond. 62. of Sioux Center died Thursday, June 3, at a Sioux Center hospital after a brief illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, at Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center with the Rev. Mark De Witt officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.

Grond was born February 3, 1931, in LaFayette, Indiana, the son of Neal and Gertrude (Korschort) Grond. He married Patricia Louise Holden August 26. 1956, In LaFayette. He was a cattle buyer In several mldwestern states before coming to Sioux Center in 1970. He was a member of First Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Nealyn Sue and Jerry Noteboom of Rock Valley and Lisa Jane and Darren Rensink of Sioux Center; three sons, James Frederick and his wife Barbara of Greenwich, Connecticut, David Patrick and his wife Brenda of Sioux Falls, and Steven Douglas of Watertown, South Dakota; and eight grandchildren.
