Emily T. Gould, 68, of Hawarden, died December 11 at Hawarden Community Hospital.Services were Saturday at American Lutheran Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Karla J Kirkeby officiating. Burial was In Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden.

Gould, born Emily Lundeen on January 2, 1923, in Hawarden, was the daughter of Emil and Therese (Oman) Lundeen. She was graduated from Alcester (South Dakota) High School In 1940 and Methodist School of Nursing In Sioux City. She was employed as a nurse In California,Sioux City and Hawarden. She married Dale Gould on January 10, 1948,in Sergeant Bluff. The couple lived in Omaha and Sioux Clly before moving to Hawarden in 1961. They owned and operated Dale Appliance until 1985. He died August 28, 1986.

She was a member of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and Rebecca Circle. She was also a member of the Hawarden
Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors are two daughters, Cynthia Andela of Hawarden and Renee Hansen of Mesa, Arizona: a brother, Lloyd Lundeen of Alcester, South Dakota; and four grandchildren, Tony, Cathy, Sara and Kiel.

She was preceded In death by a grandson, Timothy Andela.
