Steve Franken

Steve Franken, 18, of Sioux Center died Sunday of injuries suffered in an automobile accident in rural Orange City. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, in the Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Dennis Wilcox officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Franken was born May 14,1968, in Sioux Center. He graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1986 where he participated in football, basketball and track. He currently was a student at Morningside College where he was a member of the football team.

Survivors include his parents, Arnold and Velma Franken of Sioux Center; a sister, Shelly Rozeboom of Hull; a brother, Mark at home, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Casey De Groot of Sioux Center
