Hold Last Rites Saturday for Baby Son of Joe Franken Funeral services for Philip Noel Franken, one year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Franken of Sioux Center, were held at the Peace Lutheran church on Saturday, January 7. Burial was made in the Peace Lutheran cemetery.

Philip had enjoyed good health until a few days before his death. He had contracted measles but his condition had improved and it was thought that he would be able to return home from the hospital. Early Thursday morning he suffered a relapse due to complications of pneumonia and passed away unexpectedly that day.

Philip was horn on August 7, 1948, at Le Mars, Iowa. He was baptized on August 29, 1948. He is survived by both parents, one brother Daniel, a sister Rebecca and four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Rozeboom and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin A. Miller. Also surviving are two great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Tank.
