Funeral Service
GerritDe Weerd Funeral services will be held Friday; December 9, at 1 p.m.1 at
the Vander Pioeg Chapel and 1:30 at the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center for Gerrit De Weerd, 74, who passed away Tuesday at his rural Maurice farm home.

The Rev. Albert Ten Clay will officiate. Burial will be in the Sioux Center Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mr De Weerd was born Octob er 6, 1892 and on January 1913, was united in marriage to Anna Draayer. She died December 31, 1929.

Survivors include three daughters, Minnie, Ethel and Johanna, all at home, and one son, Albert of Alvord; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Henry Schuurman of Montana, Mrs. Luke Rons of Boyden, Mrs. Luke Vollink of Rock Valley, and one brother, Peter, of Chippewa Falls, Wisc.

He was proceeded in death by one son, Edward, who died in 1926 at the age of two years, two brothers and two sisters.
